The Need in Brampton

Our Neighbours Are Struggling. We're Here Because of That.

Brampton is a city of generosity and possibility. It’s also a city where thousands of families can’t afford rent, bills, and food. Regeneration exists because no one should have to face that alone.

What's Happening in Our City

People who never thought of themselves who would need a food bank, until they did.

Many of the people who come to Regeneration never imagined they would. A lost job, a relationship ended, a health crisis that wiped out their savings, housing costs that outpaced everything else.

Rising costs are hitting hardest for people with the least room to absorb them: newcomers to Canada, seniors on fixed-income, single-parent families, people navigating mental health and addiction challenges.

In 2024 alone, 3,654 new families registered at our Marketplace for the first time.

Most guests travel to Regeneration on foot or by bus. We’re open every single day, because need doesn’t take a holiday.

“We were people in need, and we found hope at Regeneration. No one feels downgraded because they are coming to ask for food.”

Dignity Changes Everything

Poverty isn’t only about what’s missing. It comes with isolation, shame of asking for help, the feeling that the city is moving around you and nobody sees you.

Since 1999, Regeneration has been the living room that Brampton’s most vulnerable neighbours didn’t have — a place where people are accepted as they are.

Where the first success is simply that a guest feels welcomed.

Every story at Regeneration begins the same way: someone walked through the door.

Practical Care. Real Dignity. All in One Place.

We build our programs around what guests actually need, and we bring it all together under one roof, so nobody has to navigate the system on their own.

“I never knew you could get help with so many things in one place.”

Demand is growing faster than current capacity.

Without sustained community support, the gap between need and care widens. And real neighbours bear that cost.

Your Gift is Where Hope Begins

Regeneration is sustained by neighbours who believe in this community — who believe no one should go without a meal, an ID, or a place to belong. If you're one of those neighbours, there's a place for you here too.
